The Re/Place(d) performance event will be supported by specially selected music and visuals. A not-the-usual-suspects Manchester-relevant soundtrack will be curated by one of the project’s writers, Adrian Slatcher.
Some images have been provided by the writers themselves and combined with archive footage of Didsbury, sourced from the North West Film Archive and with permission from John Newton.
The film editing has been done by Steve Hanson, a lecturer, writer and researcher, whose first book, Small Towns, Austere Times, was published by Zero in 2014. He has written for publications including Cultural Studies, Visual Studies, Open Democracy, Street Signs and Social Alternatives, and is a co-founder of Manchester Left Writers and Social Science Centre Manchester.
